Before you are able to start writing content and earning income on iWriter, there are a few important startup tasks that need to be completed. Below you will find the tasks necessary before you are able to begin writing content and earning income.

1. Enter your Paypal username and select a pay schedule.

IWriter's sole method of payment is via . In order for us to know where to send your earnings, you will need to add a verified Paypal username to your account. To do this, navigate to your profile page. You can get to this page by clicking on your username located in the top right hand portion of the website. Once you are on your profile page, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your verified Paypal username. Next, select a pay schedule. iWriter will automatically send you your payment depending on the the time that you have set your pay schedule. Note that the minimum payout is $20. If your balance has not reached the minimum payout prior to the pay schedule date arriving, payment will be delayed to the next pay period (given your balance has then reached the minimum payout of $20). If, at any time, your account is found to have broken our Terms of Service, causing your account to be terminated, if your minimum payout has not reached $20, a payout will not be made. Click the save button to save your settings.

2. Take a basic English grammar quiz.

Next, you'll need to click on the "write content" link located in the top navigation of iWriter. This will take you to the page that lists all of the open projects. As a new writer, your immediate writer level is set to standard. Standard writers get access to the lowest tier payouts. As you write more content, clients will review your work, increasing your star ratings. As your star ratings increase, so will your iWriter ranking and you will be promoted to higher paying tiers. Standard level projects are located at the bottom of this page. They are not highlighted any specific color.

Note that the higher level writing projects are all highlighted various colors from gold, to blue, to yellow. If you are a new writer (i.e. standard level) and try to write an article in one of these higher tiers, there will be no "write article" button, as you are not permitted to write at that level yet. You must start at standard level articles and work your way up the rankings.

To choose a specific piece of content to write, click on the "+" icon located to the left of the project title. This will expand the client's project and allow you to see all of the various content requests. To write the request, click the "write article" button. After clicking the button, you will be taken through a short 2 step process to verify your account and prove you are a legitimate person. The first of which is taking a basic English 101 grammar quiz. Simply answer the questions to the best of your ability. You will only be permitted to take the test once, so take your time and double check your answers prior to submitting.

3. Verify your phone number.

Upon passing the short grammar quiz, you will need to verify your phone number. To do this, simply enter your phone number into the textbox provided. Upon doing so, you will be automatically texted a verification code. Enter the verification code and press submit. If all goes well, you will be taken to the page where you can write the content for the client.

You will only have to go through this initial verification process once and once only. The next time you wish to write content, you will be taken directly to the page where you can write the content.
